Youth in classrooms experience negative feelings about themselves, poor relationships with family members, poor grades, hanging out with the wrong crowd, loneliness, isolation, lack of moral development, peer pressure, substance abuse, depression, obesity, lack of positive role models and bullying

Combined Mentoring and Coaching programmes build relationships and processes designed to bring out the best in learners. We believe that schools need to be equal partners with mentoring and coaching programs, providing financial support, space and flexible scheduling

But …Coaching and Mentoring aren’t they the same?

Both coaching and mentoring share many similarities and are processes that enable learners to achieve their full potential, but they are not the same thing.

After school coaching / mentoring sessions –

These sessions are run after school on the premises for the period of one hour twice a week; the sessions will be run for a group of up to a maximum of 7 students at a time. The standard period of time for these sessions is a period of 5 weeks, but this is subject to modification with the school based on its needs. – 1 facilitator

Daytime group sessions –

These sessions are run during school on the premises for the period of two hours once a week, the session will be run for a group of up to a maximum of 14 students at time. The standard period of time for these sessions is a period of 3weeks, but this is subject to modification with the school based on its needs.- 2 facilitators

Individual Mentoring / coaching –

These sessions are run both during and after school on the premises for the period of one hour . The standard period of time for these sessions is a period of 7 weeks, but this is subject to modification with the school based on its needs. – 1 facilitator

Progress reports are provided for all participating students and a final report will be produced on completion. Key members of staff are encouraged to actively engage in the process and our facilitators will encourage attendance of at least one session, they will also maintain a dialogue with the head of year and form tutor for participant
