Youth coaching is a branch of life coaching designed to encourage personal development in young people while providing an outlet for their stresses and anxieties.
The teenage years can be a strange and difficult time for everyone involved. The family dynamic often changes dramatically during this time
Youth coaching has a great many benefits from the perspective of a parent. Although we’ll always want to be there for our children, sometimes the best thing we can do is accept that, in some situations, we simply can’t.
Why hire Criss Jones as your youth coach?
A youth coach can approach subjects your child feels unable to talk about with you, such as sex, sexuality and body-image issues.
- A youth coach will help your child develop mature ways to deal with conflict, which could potentially make family life easier for everyone in the house.
- Coaching could help your child to better understand the emotions he or she is experiencing and how best to deal with them.
What happens in a youth coaching session?
Your teenager will usually be invited to attend a series of sessions that last from 30 minutes to an hour. During the sessions, the youth coach will ask carefully phrased questions to get an idea of where problems lie (if any), establish what kind of attitudes and values your child holds, and work out what actions need to take place to move forwards.
