Sports Success is a pro-active programme developed by the Peabody Trust to create an effective and sustainable sporting initiative across London. Sports Success is targeting potential applicants in Westminster, Camden,Islington, and Chelsea. Potential applicant need to be aged between 16 – 19 for entry level coachingĀ  programme, which commences in October 2003. the programme will run on Tuesday morning , Wednesday afternoons and all day Thursday and Friday, Participants should not be enrolled on any other programme. Sports Success will consists of a menu of courses ranging from units towards NVQs and other relevant short courses.

The focus of the programme is to provide participants with a foundation to explore opportunities for either employment or future training in the field of football. Sports success is aimed at young people aged 16 – 19 with an interest inn football, who have not engaged effectively with education whilst in school or taken advantage of the post school educational opportunities. The core of the programme will be delivered by Football for Fun which is a football academy with a track record of developing self employed football coaches.

The fast track level 2 programme will commence in February 2004, applicants should be aged between 17- 19 years and have completed the entry level or have considerable football knowledge to be eligible for phase of this programme.
